The Randolph girls basketball team scored more points in the first half of Monday's win than Spring Grove scored all game, winning 65-25.

The Rockets had 36 points in the first half, thanks in large part to the scoring output of Senior Megan Erickson. Erickson had 25 points in the first half alone.

Erickson would lead all scorers with 36 points in the game.

Rockets Coach Dennis Trom said the defense they were able to assert on the Lions made all the difference.

"Our pressure defense was the story of this game as we never let them get into a flow offensively," Trom said. "We shot the ball well and did a good job in our transition offense."

The Rockets are 5-1 on the season and play their next game at home against Maple River on Thursday.
