After their first game of the season was cancelled, the Randolph boys' basketball team lost to Hayfield on Jan. 15, 78-62.

The Rockets couldn't get a lead, finding themselves down at half. 

Another struggle for the Rockets to overcome was the free throw disparity. The Rockets made 5-8 free throws, but the Vikings went 17-25 at the free throw line. 

Rockets Junior Clay Nielsen led all scorers with 29 points. Rockets Senior Devon Schultz made five three-point shots and had 17 points total. 

The Vikings' Ethan Slaathaug had 28 points and Easton Fritcher had 20 points.

The Rockets next game will be on Jan. 18 at home against Houston.
