The Cannon Falls girls basketball snapped a six-game losing streak on Friday, beating Triton on the road, 61-45.

Bombers Coach Steven Strauss said a halftime lead of 16 points was too much for the Cobras to overcome.

"The girls executed the offense extremely well and I'm proud of their discipline and patience," Strauss said.

Junior Jaci Winchell scored 15 points for the Bombers, while also racking up seven assists, three rebounds and two steals.

Bombers Senior Belle Freeberg also had a quality game, scoring 15 points. Freeberg also had four assists and four steals.

The Bombers next game will be at home on Feb. 20 against Zumbrota-Mazeppa.
