Randolph senior Morgyn Otte talks pitching, food, what she would do if she didn’t play softball and her future plans.
Q: If you never picked up a softball, what sport would you excel at the most?
A: “Probably volleyball, because I really enjoy volleyball and it’s always been right behind softball.”
Q: When you’re not playing a sport or working out, what are your hobbies?
A: “Hanging out with my siblings, I have a little sister who is eight and I really enjoy catching for her and helping her and she enjoys learning from me. Hanging out with her is probably what I enjoy the most outside of sports and all of that stuff.”
Q: Go to meal at the end of the day, after tournaments?
A: “Pizza . . . just pizza.”
Q: Chicago or New York style pizza?
A: “For sure New York.”
Q: Favorite sports teams?
A: “Well obviously the Vikings, and my brother really likes the Seahawks, so I guess I like them too.”
Q: Favorite pitch to throw?
A: “Rise ball.”
Q: If you could learn to throw any pitch, what would it be?
A: “Probably a screw ball.”
Q: What are your plans for after this year?
A: “I’m heading to Southwest Minnesota State University (and playing softball). I’m going to be studying elementary education and possibly minor in coaching.”
Q: Looking to improve on anything before heading to Southwest Minnesota State?
A: “Leadership probably and again, just making sure I just have all my pitches down.”
