Fun Day

The Goodhue County History Museum's December Free Family Fun Day will be on Saturday, Dec. 3, with a Christmas theme. Hours will be from noon until 3 p.m. The museum staff plans a variety of Christmas-themed crafts, cookie decorating, ornaments and gift projects.

They are busy decorating the museum for the season, too. Xcel Energy helps to sponsor these monthly events in partnership with the museum.

Snow adds up

We are in the deep freeze now. After days and days of flurries, our outdoor view is white. Although each band didn't amount to much, it adds up over the week to a few inches total – enough to accumulate and most likely stick around until spring. It puts us in a holiday mood, just in time for Thanksgiving and some shopping.

Some things we are thankful for are that we don't have to drive far when the roads and traffic are a mess, and the political ads have disappeared. Now we're bombarded with ads for various Medicare plans. Ugh.

Until next week, may your joys be many and your cares be few.
