On Thursday, Oct. 6, the Cannon Falls Library will be hosting Reginaldo Marroquin-Haslett for a special presentation on regenerative agriculture. Marroquin-Haslett is an industry expert, and has trained countless farmers, professionals, new and established agricultural entrepreneurs, in Guatemala, Mexico and the United States.

He's helped to cultivate food and economic security for Immigrant, Black, Indigenous, and people of color communities. His work over the last 14 years has been dedicated to developing and implementing a scalable regenerative poultry production system.

Salvatierra Farms is a family farm that is a part of the regenerative poultry production ecosystem and will become a hands-on training location for the regenerative poultry production training Marroquin-Haslett has developed.

He is excited to share about the family farm, Salvatierra Farms, what they imagine it will become and its relation to other businesses and training within the ecosystem of businesses working toward a future of poultry-centered regenerative agriculture.

All the businesses within this ecosystem, such as Regenerative Agriculture Solutions and the Regenerative Agriculture Alliance support one another in building a truly regenerative future.

The presentation starts at 6 p.m., and is scheduled to run for about an hour, with additional time for conversation and questions at the end. This program is free and open to the public.
