Cannon Falls resident Tim Malchow was appointed to the Emergency Service Regulatory Board by Gov. Tim Walz and Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan on Sept. 28. 

Malchow is the Emergency Medical Services Chief for the Cannon Falls Ambulance service. 

Malchow was one of a number of appointments made by the governor and lieutenant governor on Sept. 28. 

The EMSRB is responsible for certifying EMS personnel, licensing and inspecting ambulance services, registering medical response units, and approving and auditing education programs. 

Malchow’s term will expire on January 3, 2022.
