Rep. Barb Haley announced her endorsement of Jesse Johnson to succeed her as state representative for the Red Wing area.

The new district is 20A and includes Goodhue and Wabasha counties. Johnson, a decorated Army veteran who grew up in Cannon Falls, returned after his Army career to raise his family there.

“Jesse is a proven leader and a true hero who will put our community’s values first in his service in St. Paul,” Haley said. “His Army service, policy work at the federal level and his current position with Cargill have all prepared him to fight for our district, and I wholeheartedly endorse him for this office.”
