Goodhue County Health and Human Services is reporting the death of a resident in their 70s because of COVID-19.

This is the first death reported by the county since March 29. 

The county is reporting 21 new cases of COVID-19 as well.

The following information was released by the Goodhue County Health and Human Services Department on April 9.

  • Total positive cases: 4,282
  • Total confirmed (PCR test): 4,198
  • Total probable (Antigen test): 84
  • Active cases: 144

  • Patients no longer in isolation: 4,067

  • Total cases requiring hospitalization: 194

  • Total cases admitted to the ICU: 47

  • Cases currently hospitalized: 3

  • Deaths: 71

  • Individuals vaccinated: 18,450
